Cottle Weekly
September 1, 2017
Dear Parents:
My name is Louis Cuglietto and I will be serving this community as Interim Principal of the William E. Cottle School (WEC) for the 2017 – 2018 school year.
I have already met most of our faculty and look forward to meeting you on the first days of school. Open School Night dates are Monday, September 18, for grades K-2 and Tuesday, September 19, for grades 3 – 5. I hope to meet most of you on either of those evenings. More information will be made available to you from our office and from your child’s teacher.
Each day our building becomes more and more ready for school’s opening. Our custodial team has done a professional job putting a shine on things after a very busy summer of programs and activities. Our teachers are coming into school to prepare their rooms for opening day. The sounds of instructional conversations are heard in all quarters of our building. Plans and goals, hopes and dreams are synonymous with this time of the year. Slowly, inevitably we start to let go of summer and reflect upon the infinite possibilities of friendships and excellence a new school year brings to our home and to yours.
I had the privilege to experience our Kindergarten Bus Run on August 23rd. I want to thank and acknowledge our PTA, Mr. Kilgallen, Mrs. Pinto, and our Kindergarten teachers for preparing our school for this wonderful event.
Let’s all have a healthy, productive school year filled with the wonders of learning and the trusting relationships and empathy that underpins all great school programs.
Sincerely,
Louis Cuglietto, Interim Principal
